Seba Kayan is a Kurdish-Austrian artist, DJ, producer, and lecturer.
working across diasporic sound, club culture, and experimental practice.
Her work explores how sound carries memory, power, and cultural hierarchy, and questions the Western defaults built into electronic music, from equal-tempered tuning to the production tools themselves.

Her work has been presented internationally, including at Ars Electronica, Wiener Festwochen, Biennale Matter of Art (Prague), Visa for Music (Rabat), and the Austrian Cultural Forum New York.

In 2026, she was nominated for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Electronic/Dance category.

She has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Her lecture series Tuning Towards Listening has been presented at Goldsmiths, University of London, and Queen Mary University of London.
